Day 1: Errachidia – Tarda – Gara Medouar – Oued Ghriss – Merzouga
The day before your 3-day moto tour from Errachidia, our team can meet you at Moulay Ali Cherif Airport and arrange your transfer to your hotel in Errachidia. This allows you to relax before beginning your desert motorcycle adventure the following morning.
At approximately 9:00 AM, you will meet your guide and see your KTM motorcycle for the first time. After fitting your riding equipment and completing a safety briefing, we will begin our journey toward Merzouga.
Our first destination is the village of Tarda, where you will discover beautiful palm groves and your first views of the southern Moroccan landscape. We will follow the river through this peaceful area before reaching the famous City of Orion, also known locally as Borge Almagne. This unusual desert artwork creates an impressive contrast with the surrounding open landscape.
We will then continue toward El Khotarat. Here, riders can learn about the traditional underground irrigation channels that have supplied water to local communities for generations.
The route continues across off-road tracks toward Gara Medouar. This dramatic horseshoe-shaped mountain is one of the most recognizable natural formations in southeastern Morocco. It has also been used as a filming location for several international productions.
After exploring Gara Medouar, we will cross the wide Oued Ghriss riverbed and continue through desert tracks toward Merzouga. The terrain becomes increasingly wild as we approach the Sahara and the magnificent dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Upon arrival in Merzouga, you will check into your accommodation, enjoy dinner and relax after your first day of riding.
Day 2: Merzouga – Khamlia – Begaa – Taouz – Jdaid
After breakfast, we will begin the second day of our Errachidia to Merzouga motorcycle tour. Today’s route takes us around the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes and deeper into the remote landscapes of the Moroccan Sahara.
You will ride through a mixture of sandy trails, rocky pistes and wide desert plains. The constantly changing terrain makes this one of the most exciting days of the tour.
Our first cultural stop is Khamlia, a traditional village located near Merzouga. Khamlia is famous for its Gnawa musicians, whose spiritual music combines African rhythms, traditional instruments and Moroccan cultural influences.
You will have the opportunity to enjoy a live performance before having lunch in the village.
After lunch, we will continue riding toward Begaa, one of the last Moroccan settlements before the Algerian border. This isolated area offers beautiful open views and a genuine sense of Sahara exploration.
The journey continues toward Taouz, where the landscape becomes increasingly rugged and remote. Along the route, we will stop to see ancient rock engravings that provide a fascinating glimpse into the prehistoric history of the region.
These carvings show that people and animals travelled through this desert long before modern roads or villages existed.
In the afternoon, we will leave Taouz and follow desert tracks toward Jdaid. After arriving at the village, you will settle into a comfortable hotel and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner.
The peaceful location and clear desert sky provide the perfect atmosphere for relaxing after a full day of off-road riding.
Day 3: Jdaid – Tijkht – Oubahlou – Tafraout Sidi Ali – Ramlia – Ouzina – Merzouga
After breakfast, we will start the final day of your 3 Days Moto Enduro Tour from Errachidia to Merzouga.
The morning route crosses a high desert plateau toward Tijkht. This isolated area is known for its barite mines, which play an important role in the local economy. During our visit, you may observe how the mineral is extracted and transported.
We will then continue toward the lost settlement of Oubahlou. Hidden in the desert, this mysterious location offers an interesting combination of local history, abandoned structures and impressive scenery.
From Oubahlou, we will cross another section of Oued Ghriss and ride toward Tafraout Sidi Ali. This remote desert village is surrounded by rugged mountains, rocky plateaus and beautiful open landscapes.
After exploring the area, we will continue toward Ramlia. The route around Ramlia is known for its technical sections, dry riverbeds and changing desert terrain. Depending on the conditions, the guide will choose the route best suited to the riding level of the group.
Our next stop is Ouzina, a peaceful desert village located between rocky mountains and small sand dunes. Here, we will take a relaxing lunch break and enjoy traditional Moroccan food.
Following lunch, we will begin the final off-road section toward Merzouga. This last ride offers another opportunity to enjoy the desert scenery before returning the motorcycles.
Upon arrival in Merzouga, you will change into comfortable clothes and travel back to Errachidia by vehicle.
